Good Bye, Andy

A month had passed since I last blogged, I really don't know where the year is going.
We said good bye to Andy today, that's it for the next seven and a half months.
I'm actually feeling very delicate tonight, before he left I actually found myself getting upset over ironing his shirt. Don't get me wrong ironing can be upsetting at the best of times, but this was different. The realisation that I won't be ironing his clothes until December made me iron them on this occasion with the most tender loving care. I wouldn't mind, he usually does his own ironing (especially as far as his uniform is concerned) as I put creases in all the wrong places.
Jessica was really brave until he'd just left, she ran after the car waving then came in and had a little weep.
Mum and Dad had come for dinner with the understanding that they would go just before Andy left, I must stress this understanding was between me and Mum and when at a quarter to seven Andy asked Dad if he wanted a coffee and dad said "oh yes please" I was starting to get a little agitated.
Dad had his coffee, then Mum managed to diplomatically shift him, Bless!
